Surrounded by modern technologies, medical strides, increased access to information and education, our world is indisputably short of peace.
Our world is one fatigued with insomnia, alcoholism, promiscuity, nudity, diseases and unimaginables.
Modern life is riskier than non other. It is a collection of people all endeavoring to subscribe to modern trends at the risk of plunging oneself into identity crisis and possibly death.
This life now orbits around educational, political, social and scientific polemics. These polemics are a result of people trying hard to manipulate the earth and its elements so that redefine modern life.
Much as I appreciate these efforts, I don’t ignore the fact that these same efforts have turned this planet into a chalice of fear and natural disasters. Today, peace has become a holy grail; something really hard to come by nor to achieve.
Every news headline is a trade of fear; an announcement that somewhere life has been lost. Look at what has dominated the world media now, coronavirus.
In the face of coronavirus, I have learnt the vulnerability of humanity and that this life is transient. Moreover, it has dawned on my mind that human knowledge cannot always not save man. It is in the light of all these terrifying happenings that I invite us to turn to God.
When we have learned to trust in Him, we shall smile at this coronavirus storm.
Peace and blessings to all!
