Shades of Life

Sometimes life is likened to an airport. One plane lands when another is taking off while others await their scheduled time for departure. All planes leave for different destinations at different time schedules.
So is life, at the time you think you have “arrived,” you will find others warming their engines to take off. Some people go where you are coming from and others arrive from those lands, heights or positions you so desire.

Sometimes, a woman in search of a job ends up being a house wife. When God opens his windows of unrestrained favour, she may find her dream job while some other woman is resigning from that same job to become a house wife or for greener pastures. You may be basking in all the wealth but have serious deficiencies in health.
There are people crying day and night for lack of children and yet others are crying day and night BECAUSE of their children. Some people are depressed by their single status and others depressed by married life.
Out there, some people are dying for the job you have when you are sickly tired and bored of it. In other spheres of life, some parents are worried by how their kids will perform in exams while others are worried about how to take those who have performed well to good schools.
These are colors and shades of life. There will never be a time when all things will be in harmony with your desires and expectations. Amid the valleys and hills, lows and highs, learn to find peace within, the patience and a heart full of gratitude. The roàd through life is ever under construction. Life is not meant to be perfect.
In all things, good and bad, abundance and lack, sickness and health, give thanks to God. He lives eternally to sustain us, He is acquainted with our sorrows and all that gives us joy, just trust Him anyhow.
